Press Release on changes to the management board of HanseYachts AG
The supervisory board of HanseYachts AG appointed Dr. Peter Barth as new chief operating officer (COO) at today’s meeting. After obtaining a university degree in plastics technology from Aachen University and a doctoral degree, Dr. Barth gained comprehensive career experience in the plastics processing industry, working for years in management positions, most recently at the executive board level. Dr. Barth was born in 1955 and has acted as a consultant to HanseGroup for several months. He was actively involved in the most recent model year changes.
Gregor Bredenbeck, the previous COO, will become responsible for the production of Moody and Hanse premium yachts. Mr. Bredenbeck will be given power of attorney.
Furthermore, the supervisory board also agreed to extend the contract of CEO Michael Schmidt by another two years past its original expiry date at the end of July this year.
This addition to the management board is an important milestone for HanseYachts AG’s further industrialisation of production and the associated increase in productivity, while at the same time ensuring continuity in company management and recognising the particular craftsmanship required in manufacturing premium boats and large individualised yachts.
