Powerful start into 2008

First Annual Shareholders’ Meeting since IPO

Successful current trade fair season

Trend to larger boats

Greifswald, 31 January 2008 – At HanseYachts’ first Annual Shareholders’
Meeting as a publicly listed company, Michael Schmidt, founder and CEO of
HanseYachts AG, was satisfied after taking stock of the current trade fair
season. 'The most important fairs of the international boat industry have
been a complete success. Interest in our boats is very great,' said Schmidt
and added: 'We have noticed a clear trend towards sailing yachts over 40
feet in length—particularly in the international markets.' The growing
interest from abroad has also been making itself felt at HanseYachts AG.
Exports have been one of the main factors driving Group turnover: Approx.
80 percent of the 850 yachts produced during the last fiscal year
(01/08/2006 to 31/07/2007) have been exported. Within the framework of the
'Boot Düsseldorf' fair, which ended three days ago and is the largest event
of its kind in the world, HanseYachts AG presented nearly its entire
spectrum of products. In addition to Hanse’s sailing yachts from 32 to 63
feet in length, its Fjord 40 Open motor yacht was also presented to the
public.

The Fjord 40 Open was voted the European Powerboat of the Year 2008 by
European water-sports journalists.

The world premiere of the Moody 45 DS, a new interpretation of deck-saloon
yachts will take place in February 2008. Several advance orders have
already been received even before the premiere.

At the most important trade fair for water sports in England, the London
Boat Show (11/01/ to 20/01/2008), HanseYachts AG enjoyed a veritable
success.

Schmidt is not happy with developments in HanseYachts’ share price. 'It
stands in blatant contrast to our continuing successful business
activities.' Schmidt holds around 64 percent of the shares. 'Despite the
persistent sub-prime crisis in the US and its repercussions, HanseYachts’
turnover is moving within the framework of its forecasts. We are growing
disproportionately to our competitors,' said Schmidt. 'Moreover, we will be
making intensive efforts to establish marketing structures in Asia as well
as in Central and South America. With Hanse, Moody and Fjord, we offer an
attractive palette of models that are encountering considerable interest in
these markets.'

HanseYachts is one of the fastest growing yacht producers in Europe.
Sailing yachts are currently being built that range from 10 meters to 19.20
meters (32 ft to 63 ft). HanseYachts also produces motor yachts under the
Fjord Boats AS brand. Moreover, England’s Moody brand, which is known for
its high-quality sailing yachts, has belonged to the HanseYachts Group
since March 2007. HanseYachts AG has also been publicly listed on the
General Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since March 2007. In
fiscal year 2006/07 (31/7/2007) turnover was € 105.2 million (€ 66.3
million last year). A total of 850 yachts were produced in fiscal year
2006/07 (586 last year). Around 500 employees were working for the
HanseYachts Group at the end of the fiscal year.
