Appointment of Director – Jennifer Douglas

Hansen Technologies Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Douglas to the position of non-executive Director with effect from 15th February 2017.

In announcing the appointment of Jennifer, the Hansen Technologies Chairman, David Trude, said “We are delighted to welcome Jennifer as a member of our Board. Jennifer has impressive and extensive experience in the Telco and media industry at an executive level and this will add further depth and dimension to our Board expertise. That we now have two high calibre women as Board members is particularly satisfying as we continually seek to promote diversity throughout our business and industry.”

This appointment fills the vacancy on the Board created by Peter Berry’s resignation in December. In accordance with Company’s constitution, Jennifer Douglas will be presented for election as a Director at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 23 November 2017.

About Jennifer Douglas

Jennifer is a highly experienced executive who has worked in the technology and media industries for over twenty years. After starting her career as an intellectual property lawyer, she has held key executive roles across diverse functions at Sensis and Telstra. During her time at Telstra, Jennifer was responsible for the turnaround in results of the $3 billion fixed voice business and establishment of Telstra's connected life technology support business - Platinum. She also played a lead role in the transformation of Telstra into a customer centred organisation.

Jennifer has held a number of Board positions including with a not for profit organisation and as a Director of Telstra SNP Monitoring, a joint venture between Telstra and SNP formed to provide monitored security and smart solutions throughout Australia.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law (Hons), both from Monash University and a Master of Law and MBA, both from the University of Melbourne. Jennifer is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
