Hansen Technologies appoints David Trude as Director

MELBOURNE, Australia (2 May 2011) Hansen Technologies Limited (ASX: HSN) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Trude to the position of non-executive Director with effect from 1 May 2011.

In announcing this appointment the Hansen Technologies Chairman, Ken Hansen, said “It is a pleasure to welcome David Trude as a member of our Board. David brings to the Hansen Board over 40 years of experience in financial service roles in the banking and securities industries. As Hansen enters its next stage of evolution we see these types of skills as being key elements of our objective of enhancing shareholder value. I look forward to working with David and the value he will undoubtedly bring to our company.”

David Trude is the current Chairman of E. L. and C. Baillieu stockbrokers, the former CEO and Managing Director of Credit Suisse Australia and a past Board member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.

The appointment of David Trude as an independent non-executive Director increases the number of Hansen Directors to five consisting of one executive and four non-executive Directors.

About David Trude

David Trude has extensive experience in a variety of financial services roles within the banking and securities industries.

David holds a Degree in Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a member of many professional associations including the Society of Investment Professionals and the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.

He is also Chairman of E.L & C. Baillieu, Chairman of Waterford Retirement Village, acting Chairman of East West Line Parks Pty Ltd and panel member of ASX Disciplinary Tribunal.
