Ad Hoc: Chairman of the Executive Board Will Not Renew His Contract after
Its Expiration at the End of 2016

The Chairman of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktiengesellschaft's Executive
Board, Klaus-Dieter Peters, today informed the company's Supervisory Board
that he will not be at the company's disposal after the expiration of his
contract as of 31 December 2016.

It is with much regret that the Supervisory Board accepts Mr. Peters'
decision not to renew his contract after 14 years as Chairman of the
Executive Board and in today's meeting the Board has begun taking the
necessary steps to find a successor as Chairman of HHLA's Executive Board
from 2017.
