Lundbeck announces that Stig Løkke Pedersen, Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations, resigns

H. Lundbeck A/S (Lundbeck) today announced that Stig Løkke Pedersen, EVP for Commercial Operations, has decided to resign from his position at Lundbeck in order to pursue new opportunities. The Board of Directors of Lundbeck will now initiate a process to find a replacement. Stig Løkke Pedersen will remain available to Lundbeck following his resignation.

"Now when turning 50, I have decided to make a change in my professional life. I have been privileged to have been in leading positions with Lundbeck for almost 20 years, and I have enjoyed being part of Lundbeck's journey transforming from a small local company to a global leader in CNS," says Stig Løkke Pedersen and continues: "Now time has come to turn the page. I will always remember and appreciate Lundbeck and the many very competent and dedicated employees."

Stig Løkke Pedersen joined Lundbeck in January 1992 as responsible for the company's business development activities. Following a period as managing director of Lundbeck Netherlands, he has since 1998 been part of the corporate senior management. Stig Løkke Pedersen was appointed executive vice president in April 2003 and has held the position as EVP for Commercial Operations (Chief Commercial Officer) for the last six years.

"I will personally wish to thank Stig Løkke Pedersen for his valuable contribution to Lundbeck over the years," says Ulf Wiinberg, President & Chief Executive Officer at Lundbeck and continues: "We will now identify a replacement for Stig Løkke Pedersen, a person who together with the rest of the management group can continue to develop the company."

Financial guidance

The content of this release will have no influence on the Lundbeck Group's financial guidance for 2011 which was provided on 24 February 2011 in connection with the release of the financial results for 2010.
