Expansion of post-smolt facility Tytlandsvik Aqua

Expansion of post-smolt facility Tytlandsvik Aqua

Grieg Seafood is pleased to announce that Tytlandsvik Aqua is initiating its

planned expansion with the development of Halls 5 and 6 at their post-smolt

facility, starting building work in March 2026. The aim is to have the first

smolt installations in Hall 5 by August 2027 and in Hall 6 by September 2028.

AKVA group will continue as equipment supplier to ensure standardized

technology at the facility.

Tytlandsvik Aqua's development plan has from the start included six post-smolt

halls with a production capacity of 1,500 tons per year. Infrastructure has

been prepared for these six halls. It is the last two, halls 5 and 6, that

will now be expanded.

-- Tytlandsvik has long worked with a goal of completing the facility with 6

halls, the increase in capacity is important for the further work with

post-smolt in the region. We are looking forward to continuing the good

collaboration with Grieg Seafood and Bremnes Seashore, says Nils Viga, General

Manager, Tytlandsvik Aqua.

-- We see that the work done with post-smolt over many years is yielding good

results. Our experience shows that when large post-smolt is released into the

sea, mortality is halved. We also see that it significantly improves lice

control. In recent years, around 60% of the company's fish have not needed

lice treatment at all, due to the use of large post-smolt together with other

preventive measures. We welcome the planned expansion of Tytlandsvik Aqua,

says Nina Willumsen Grieg, CEO, Grieg Seafood.
