The sender is responsible for the contents of this announcement. —————————————————————————— New business for GRENKELEASING reaches record level in the first quarter 2000 – Growth of 72.5% compared to Q1/1999 In the first quarter of 2000, GRENKELEASING AG, the market leader for “Small-Ticket”-IT leasing in Germany, achieved the highest growth in absolute terms in its corporate history. During the first three months of the current year, new business (i.e. total underlying purchase prices of new leasing contracts) of DM 72.4 mn (Q1/1999: DM 41.9 mn) was generated. Considering growth of 72.5% compared to first quarter 1999, the company exceeded its own budget. Even the excellent new business volume of the fourth quarter of 1999, which was positively influenced by the Y2K concerns, was slightly surpassed. For the current quarter, the company’s management continues to be optimistic: During the final week of Q1/2000, the number of leasing inquiries for me first time surpassed 1,000. GRENKELEASING, which is listed on Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as of 4 April, intends to publish its full financial results for the first quarter during mid-May, 2000.
