Baden-Baden, 5 August 2009: On 4 August 2009, GRENKELEASING AG successfully
placed a EUR 100 million bond with HSBC and WestLB as joint lead managers.
The fixed interest rate bond with a duration of three years and a coupon of
6.125 % was more than twice oversubscribed. It was placed at the lower end
of the price range. Of the more than 60 investors from Germany and abroad,
27 % are private customers, 35 % are funds and the rest accounted for by
banks and insurance companies.

As already reported our diversified refinancing base also developed
positively. We were able to utilise all the components of our financing mix
again for the first time since the beginning of the financial crisis, and
we also benefited from deposits business at GRENKE BANK. In addition to
issuing promissory notes and bonds, we signed another ABS programme with a
programme volume of EUR 150 million and extended revolving credit lines
with our banks with a total volume of EUR 90 million well in advance.

The already well diversified refinancing base was thus extended in high
quality manner. With this, GRENKE has secured Group financing until well
into next year. After the financial market crisis, it is one of the first
medium-sized companies to return successfully to the market for
small-volume listed corporate bonds.

This bond was already the fifth larger issue under the Debt Issuance
Programme established in 2003, making GRENKE one of the few established
medium-sized issuers in Germany.

Hesse Newman & Co. AG (a private bank since 1777), which continues to trade
as GRENKE BANK AG.

GRENKE Group has a franchise system in place in Finland, Norway, Portugal,
Romania, Slovakia, Spain (Madrid) and Hungary as well as in the Car Leasing
and Factoring Division in Germany.

GRENKELEASING offers contracts predominantly in the field of small-ticket
IT leasing for such products as PCs, notebooks, copiers, printers or
software of a relatively low asset value.

Exchange and is part of the SDAX.
