Greenyard Foods and KTG Agrar sign a principle agreement on an operational cooperation of the German deep-frozen vegetable activities

On September 26, 2013 Greenyard Foods has signed a principle agreement with KTG Agrar with regard to an operational cooperation on the German production site of deep-frozen vegetables located in Manschnow.

The agreement means that KTG Agrar will take operational leadership on the deep-frozen vegetable activities of the German production site in Manschnow. In particular Greenyard Foods will rent the German production unit in Manschnow to KTG Agrar and the latter will take over the personnel.

The strategy of Greenyard Foods is focused on the optimization of its production units and to improve the efficiency within the Group. The signing of this principle agreement is a further step forward in this optimization within the deep-frozen division Pinguin.

The KTG Agrar Group is owner of the Frenzel brand, an important German retail brand in frozen food in Germany. The Group already operates from its factory in Ringleben where it processes frozen food under the Frenzel brand. From October 1st onwards they will add the operations in Manschnow to reinforce their offer to the German frozen food market with a full offer of frozen vegetables and fruit.

Greenyard Foods and KTG Agrar are convinced that the re-unification of the Frenzel companies is an excellent move to grow within the German frozen food market.
