GreenTech appoints experienced mining executive Rod Webster as Non-executive Director

GreenTech Metals Ltd (ASX: GRE), (‘ GreenTech ’ or 'the Company ') is pleased to announce that Roderick (Rod) Webster has joined the GreenTech Board of Directors as a Non-executive Director.

Mr Webster is a mining engineer (University of Sydney) with over 40 years of experience in the resources industry including more than 16 years as CEO of publicly listed companies.

Mr Webster’s early career included management positions with Homestake Gold of Australia Ltd and BHP Minerals Ltd. Between 2001 and 2005 Mr Webster was a senior executive with First Quantum Minerals Ltd, a Canadian listed company developing copper mines in Zambia and Mauritania. Mr Webster was also the founding Director and CEO of Western Metals Ltd, a major Australian base metals producer during which time he served on the executive committee of the International Zinc Association. He was a founding Director and CEO of Weatherly, a company engaged in copper mining and smelting in Namibia.

Mr Webster is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

"We welcome Rod Webster to the Board of GreenTech Metals. Rod brings with him a wealth of technical and commercial experience which will assist the Company in assessing the commercial potential of the Whundo Project but also in unlocking value across our highly prospective copper, nickel and gold focussed project portfolio”.

As a term of his appointment, Mr Webster has been issued with 250,000 options exercisable at $0.30 each on or before 11 April 2024. These options have been issued prior to Mr Webster being appointed as a director, and using the Company’s capacity under Listing Rule 7.1.
