Appointment of Peter Haden to the Board

Greencore Group plc ('Greencore' or the 'Group'), a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Haden to the Board as Executive Director with effect from 21 May 2019. In parallel, he will take up the role of Chief Operating Officer ('COO') of Greencore Group. In that role, he will have responsibility for running the day to day business, strengthening our organisation, and building our capability.

Peter joined Greencore in January 2015 as Chief Development Officer, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer ('CEO') of the UK division in July 2018. His transition to the Group COO and Board roles reflects both the fact that the Group now has a single, integrated leadership structure, following the disposal of its US business in November 2018, and his sustained contribution to the operational and strategic agenda of the Group.

Commenting on Peter's appointment, Gary Kennedy, Chairman of Greencore, said: "Peter has made an outstanding contribution to Greencore in a number of senior roles since joining us in 2015, and his promotion to the Board is well deserved. His strategic mind-set and operational expertise will be invaluable as Greencore looks to drive performance and pursue the range of compelling growth opportunities that we see in the UK convenience food market."

Prior to joining Greencore, Peter was a Partner with McKinsey & Co. where he led the UK Consumer Practice. Before McKinsey, he was a brand manager with Procter & Gamble.
