Overview of Lithex’s Projects

Lithex’s projects are located in the East Pilbara & Gascoyne regions of Western Australia and total ~775km[2] in area. The East Pilbara projects are well placed with the majority of areas accessible via sealed roads and within close proximity to regional townships of Marble Bar & Port Hedland. Arthur River is accessible via road north east of Gascoyne Junction - see Figure 1

Moolyella Project

The Moolyella Project is located approximately 23 Kilometers east-north-east of the township of Marble Bar and is accessible by sealed road.

The Moolyella Project consists of granted Exploration Licenses E45/3424 and E45/3172 (90%) along with Mining Lease Application M45/1081 (90%), Exploration License Application E45/3873 (100%) and Prospecting Licenses P45/2813, P45/2814 & P45/2815 (100%).

Pegmatite Gully & Eluvial Gully

During the quarter Lithex commenced its maiden RC drill program over the areas defined as Pegmatite Gully & Eluvial Gully in E45/3172 – see Figure 2 .

The Pegmatite Gully area, surrounded by the Johansen Granodiorite, had previously been the subject of historical diamond drilling by Endeavour Resources who, in 1981, reported a peak result of 1.5m @ 6615ppm Sn in DH-1. (Source: WAMEX)

Eluvial Gully is located towards the east of tenement E45/3172 – see Figure 2 between the older granite and younger granite intrusives (Moolyella Tin Granites).

The focus at both Pegmatite Gully & Eluvial Gully has been on hard-rock mineralisation and the exploration for tin and tantalum as well as other rare metals.

The company will as soon as the weather permits, continue to direct its focus towards the completion of the drilling program in the Eluvial Gully area and the margins of the Moolyella Monzogranite which are often represented by greisen alteration zones. At these margins, tin, tantalum and other rare metals typically concentrate within the pegmatite veins common to the area.

Pegamatite Gully represents a hard rock target.

Eluvial Gully has been previously mined by scraper to a shallow depth and historical results; together with soils samples undertaken by Lithex, identified a target area ~ 2 Km by 4 Km which is to be tested with RC drill holes.

Tailings & Overburden Dumps

The Moolyella Tin Field has been mined over a period of more than 100 years, ceasing in the 1980’s due to a collapse in the tin price. In latter years there were 5 identifiable, separate large scale operations which generated vast tailings and overburden dumps.

Results from the early reconnaissance work by Lithex were encouraging. To further and more accurately test the dumps, Lithex in November 2011, successfully completed a preliminary auger drilling program – see Figure 3 . The aim of the auger sampling was to further test the grades of the remaining material and to assist in the definition of the volume of material present.

Prospector Creek

In addition to exploration for hard rock pegmatites, Lithex has also focused on the potential for alluvial discoveries across a number of un-mined alluvial leads. The first of these to be explored is in the area defined as Prospector Creek – see Figure 3 .

Pilgangoora Project

The Pilgangoora Project comprising exploration licenses E45/2375* (90%) and E45/3373 (90%); together with prospecting license P45/2599 (100%), is located approximately 120 Kilometers south-east of Port Hedland via the Great Northern Highway.

The Pilgangoora area is a highly mineralised region of the Pilbara with a strong history of commercial pegmatite hosting tantalum and its associated host, the lithium feldspar, spodumene – see Figure 4 .

Lithex’s tenements are in close proximity to Altura’s recently updated lithium resource of 13.29M tonnes at 1.21% Li20. (ASX: 21 November, 2011)

Lithex is currently in the process of designing a suitable on-ground exploration program targeting this highly mineralized region, specifically the exploration of tantalum bearing pegmatites and lithium bearing spodumene.

Other Projects

The company has progressed with its exploration activities at the Shaw River Project (90%) located approximately 50 kilometers south west of Marble Bar and the company’s Arthur River Project (100%) located approximately 250 kilometers east of Carnarvon. Data compilation & radiometric evaluation has been undertaken with further on-ground activities planned during the coming Quarter, weather permitting.
