GREEN OLEO: PERFEZIONATA L'ACQUISIZIONE DEL RAMO D'AZIENDA DI KIALAB S.R.L. ATTIVO NELLA COSMETICA

GREEN OLEO (GRN:IM), società benefit quotata su Euronext Growth Milan tra i principali produttori europei di oleochimica fine da fonti rinnovabili e biodegradabili, facendo seguito a quanto comunicato in data 23 febbraio u.s., informa di aver perfezionato l'acquisizione del ramo d'azienda cosmetico di KiaLab S.r.l. L'operazione, avvenuta tramite KiaLab New S.r.l. (newco costituita ad hoc e interamente partecipata da GREEN OLEO), consente alla Società di integrare know-how tecnico e competenze di laboratorio altamente specializzate e di acquisire Sugarderm®, principio attivo cosmetico brevettato ad alto valore aggiunto. La Società rende noto altresì che la newco KiaLab New S.r.l. ha modificato la propria ragione sociale in KiaLab S.r.l..

GREEN OLEO (GRN:IM – ISIN IT0005549768) è uno dei principali produttori europei di oleochimica fine da fonti rinnovabili e biodegradabili, con sede a Cremona, costituita nel 2012 nel contesto dell'acquisto da parte della Famiglia Buzzella dell'intero capitale della Società, mediante conferimento di un ramo di azienda, storicamente attivo sin dal 1923 nella produzione oleochimica e precedentemente di proprietà di Croda Cremona S.r.l. La Società utilizza materie prime del territorio, quali i by products delle lavorazioni dell'industria alimentare (olii acidi prevalentemente da ulivo e grasso animale), che vengono sottoposte a processi chimici interni quali a titolo esemplificativo la scissione, distillazione, separazione, il frazionamento e l'idrogenazione, per ottenere molteplici prodotti oleochimici quali acidi grassi distillati a diverse matrici in funzione del grasso di partenza, acidi stearici (stearine), acido oleico, glicerine, derivati degli acidi grassi (saponi), esteri. La Società opera nello Stabilimento di Cremona, in una superficie di 64.000 mq (di cui circa 20.000 mq coperti) dove sono impiegate 90 risorse, con una capacità produttiva annua di 65.000 tonnellate di cui 50.000 di acidi grassi e glicerine e 15.000 di esteri. I clienti della Società sono realtà industriali operanti in molteplici settori quali detergenza, elastomeri, candele, vernici, gomma e pneumatici, personal care e cosmesi, che attraverso ulteriori lavorazioni specifiche per il settore di destinazione realizzano i prodotti finali destinati al consumatore.

GREEN OLEO: ACQUISITION OF THE BUSINESS UNIT OF KIALAB S.R.L., ACTIVE IN THE COSMETICS SECTOR

GREEN OLEO (GRN:IM), a benefit corporation listed on Euronext Growth Milan and one of Europe's leading producers of fine oleochemicals from renewable and biodegradable sources, following the announcement made on 23 February, hereby announces that it has completed the acquisition of the cosmetics business unit of KiaLab S.r.l. through KiaLab New S.r.l. (a newco set up ad hoc and wholly owned by GREEN OLEO). The transaction allows the Company to integrate highly specialised technical know-how and laboratory expertise and to acquire Sugarderm®, a patented cosmetic active ingredient with high added value. The Company also announces that the newco KiaLab New S.r.l. has changed its name to KiaLab S.r.l..

GREEN OLEO (GRN:IM – ISIN IT0005549768) is one of Europe's leading producers of fine oleochemicals from renewable and biodegradable sources. Based in Cremona, it was established in 2012 when the Buzzella family acquired the entire share capital of the Company through the transfer of a business unit that had been historically active since 1923 in oleochemical production and previously owned by Croda Cremona S.r.l. The company uses local raw materials, such as by-products from the food industry (mainly olive oil and animal fat), which undergo internal chemical processes such as splitting, distillation, separation, fractionation and hydrogenation, to obtain multiple oleochemical products such as distilled fatty acids with different matrices depending on the starting fat, stearic acids (stearines), oleic acid, glycerines, fatty acid derivatives (soaps) and esters. The Company operates in the Cremona plant, covering an area of 64,000 square metres (of which approximately 20,000 square metres are covered), where 90 people are employed, with an annual production capacity of 65,000 tonnes, of which 50,000 tonnes are fatty acids and glycerine and 15,000 tonnes are esters. The company's customers are industrial companies operating in a wide range of sectors, such as detergents, elastomers, candles, paints, rubber and tyres, personal care and cosmetics, which, through further specific processing for the target sector, manufacture the final products for consumers.
