Waratah Resources Limited (ASX:WGO)( Company ) is pleased to announce that it has secured firm commitments via private placement to sophisticated investors to raise $574,600 through the issue of 59,854,167 new shares at $0.0096 per share (“Placement”). The funds are to be used to further to continue with the development of the Australian Commodities Division of the Company, continue to evaluate and assess the Company’s exploration assets in Gabon as well as continue to maintain the Gabon exploration licences in good standing order and provide general working capital for the Company.
The Placement was strongly supported by a range of sophisticated investors, and was conducted pursuant to Section 708 of the Corporation Act.
The settlement of the application funds and the issue of shares is anticipated to take place on or about Thursday 4 February 2016.
The issue of these shares was approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 24 November 2015. For further details regarding the background to the issue of the shares, please refer to Resolution 8 of the Notice of Meeting released to the ASX on 23 October 2015.
