PRIVATE PLACEMENT OVERSUBSCRIBED AND ALLOTMENT OF SHARES
Further to the announcement dated 4[th] February 2014 regarding the Company’s successful private placement to sophisticated investors to raise $1,080,000 through the issue of 36,000,000 new shares at $0.03 per share (“Placement”), Waratah Resources Limited (ASX: WGO) is pleased to announce that is has placed an additional 7,250,000 new shares at $0.03 for $217,500. The combined placements raised a total amount of $1,297,500. The Placements were comprised of 43,250,000 fully paid ordinary shares at an issue price of $0.03 per share.
The funds are to be used to further develop the Commodities business as it expands its operations and for the ongoing expenses in relation to the Company’s exploration projects in Gabon.
The issue of these shares was approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 29 November 2013. For further details regarding the background to the issue of the shares, please refer to Resolution 6 of the Notice of Meeting released to the ASX on 25 October 2013.
Furthermore it has been resolved that the additional subscription of 9,833,333 shares contemplated in the announcement dated 19[th] November 2013 will no longer be issued.
