Chairman’s AGM Speech
I would first like to begin by thanking all our Shareholders for your patience and support over the past 12 months. To say FY2020 was a challenge is an understatement. In response to the global pandemic, the company has responded by reducing its operating costs in line with revenues. I am pleased to confirm that as a result of these measures, the Company reported its first ever cash flow positive quarter since listing. A positive cash position of $488,000 for the December quarter whilst still investing $444,000 into the development of our new Mosaic Enterprise Engagement Platform, is a strong endorsement of the direction the company is taking. Recurring SaaS revenue continued to grow for the third quarter in a row and we see that trend continuing in the March quarter.
We recently closed our $4,000,000 capital raise fully subscribed. These funds will be used to retire debt, strengthen our balance sheet, and fund the accelerated development of the Mosaic Platform. This accelerated development will allow us to roll out new modules initially to Nedbank and The Unlimited our two new financial services clients ahead of schedule. This will result in recurring Platform as a Service (PaaS) revenue flowing more quickly.
In another milestone for the Company, two days ago we went live with a limited feature set of our Mosaic solution with British American Tobacco, allowing them to interface their corporate Salesforce application to over 170,000 point of sales terminals in South Africa. The Company continues to carve out a niche in enriching enterprise solutions such as Salesforce and Oracle, allowing their users to become more nimble and offer better targeted solutions to their customers.
By positioning ourselves as an enterprise SaaS enabler in the loyalty and rewards space, we have developed a strong pipeline of new corporate opportunities which we expect to be able to deliver over the coming quarters. These opportunities include enterprises across the retail, telecommunication, financial services and hospitality sectors.
To ensure we deliver quality outcomes to our ever-growing list of clients, we have begun strengthening our senior management and Board. We have recently appointed Justin Jefferies the role of COO. Justin has a wealth of experience in finance and operations roles in both large global organisations as well as IT start-ups. He will take responsibility for the finance function and customer engagement. We have also strengthened the Board with a focus on improved governance and compliance. The addition of Bryan Zekulich who was a partner with Ernst & Young for 15 years before joining Bombora, and Mike Hill who is on the Board of ASX listed companies such as Janison, Pacific Knowledge Systems and Orbx, add a wealth of experience.
We believe the Company is now well positioned to deliver on the opportunities we find in front of us. We have strengthened our Balance Sheet, restructured the Board, added experience to the senior management team and begun delivering next generation platform services to our growing customer base, generating a growing stream of SaaS revenue. 2020 was a year of repositioning. We look forward to 2021 as a year of delivery and growth.
