Sub: Appointment of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer

Pursuant to the provisions of Companies Act, 2013 and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (‘Listing Regulations’), the Board of Directors of Grasim Industries Limited (‘the Company’) at its meeting held today i.e. 12[th] February 2021, inter-alia, approved the appointment of Mr. Sailesh Daga as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company with effect from 1[st] April 2021, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

On appointment of Mr. Sailesh Daga, Mrs. Hutokshi Wadia will cease to be the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company with effect from close of business hours on 31[st] March 2021.

Brief profile of Mr. Sailesh Daga is as under:

Mr. Sailesh Daga, is qualified Company Secretary and Cost Accountant. Mr. Daga is an associate member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK and Institute of Chartered Management Accountants, Australia. He is also a member of association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE-USA) and Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business (CIMA-USA). Mr. Daga has over 25 years of experience in handling Corporate Laws, Legal, Taxation, Finance & Accounts function across various industries including Financial Services, Tours & Travel, Chemicals, Infrastructure, Engineering, Telecom, Real Estate.

Mr. Daga has been associated with Aditya Birla Group for over 8 years and has worked with various Group Companies like Aditya Birla Retail Limited, as Head Company Secretary & Taxation and with Aditya Birla Nuvo Limited, as AVP-Secretarial. Presently, Mr. Daga is the Company Secretary of Aditya Birla Capital Limited.

During his professional career spanning over 25 years, Mr. Daga was associated with various companies, including Kuoni / VFS Group, Walton Street Capital, Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd., Hutch (Kolkata), SMS Demag India, Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Limited and Martin Burn Limited.
