Grammer AG Supervisory Board appoints Volker Walprecht as new CFO

Amberg, July 24, 2012 – The Supervisory Board of SDAX-listed Grammer AG has appointed Mr. Volker Walprecht ( Diplom-Kaufmann ) as a new member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer of the company. Effective October 01, 2012, Walprecht (49) will take office as the successor to Alois Ponnath. Together with CEO, Hartmut Müller, and Manfred Pretscher, this will bring the number of members serving on the Executive Board back to three.

Volker Walprecht holds a degree in business administration from the University Gesamthochschule Essen. He brings with him many years of international management experience, particularly in the areas of finance, controlling and M&A in the automotive and commercial vehicles industry, as well as the energy sector. His career history includes time spent with former automotive supplier Mannesmann VDO or Siemens VDO/Continental. His most recent post was as CFO of the division Oil & Gas at Siemens AG.
