GrainCorp acquires Heinrich Merchandise
GrainCorp Limited today announced it has acquired Heinrich Merchandise Pty Limited, a rural merchandise business located in Horsham, Victoria.
Mr Keene, GrainCorp's Managing Director, said that purchasing this business allows GrainCorp's AG Plus to further expand its range of products and technical services.
"In line with our strategy, this acquisition will add significant scale and retail experience to GrainCorp AG Plus, especially in the areas of agronomic services and animal health products as well as general merchandising," said Mr Keene.
"This is an exciting development for GrainCorp and I am looking forward to GrainCorp having a greater presence in Victoria, said Mr Keene."
The Horsham store will be known as Heinrich AG Plus and it will become the group service centre for all of GrainCorp's AG Plus business in Victoria at Ouyen, Charlton, Warracknabeal and Nhill.
With this new acquisition, AG Plus now operates 28 retail outlets and depot across the eastern states.
