GR Engineering Services Limited (ASX.GNG) ( GR Engineering ) refers to the ASX release made by Allied Gold Mining Plc (ASX.ALD) ( Allied Gold ) dated 2 August 2012.

GR Engineering is continuing to pursue the recovery of approximately $4.5 million properly owing by Allied Gold’s subsidiary, Gold Ridge Mining Limited ( GRML ) to GR Engineering for work done on the Gold Ridge Mine in the Solomon Islands and GR Engineering has raised concerns to this end in relation to Allied Gold’s proposed Scheme of Arrangement as referred to in Allied Gold’s ASX release dated 29 June 2012.

GR Engineering remains of the view that the disclosure it has previously made in relation to the counterclaim is accurate and would otherwise prefer to leave the issues to be resolved via the agreed arbitration process.

Mr Joe Ricciardo, Managing Director of GR Engineering, today reinforced that the company would vigorously defend all counterclaims by GRML.

“ Our view remains that GRML’s action is an ambit counterclaim and we will aggressively continue to protect our reputation and excellent industry track record, ” he said.
