Subcontractor Agreement – Newmont Tanami Gold Mine

GR Engineering Services Limited (ASX: GNG) (GR Engineering) is pleased to announce that it has executed a subcontractor agreement with RUC Cementation Mining Contractors Pty Ltd (RUC) in relation to Newmont Corporation’s (Newmont) Tanami gold mine in Australia.

RUC has been engaged by Newmont under a head contract to complete certain construction works for the Tanami Gold Mine Expansion 2, Shaft Lining, Equipment and Headframe Construction Project. The scope of work for which GR Engineering is responsible comprises the construction and commissioning of the temporary and permanent works associated with the surface infrastructure.

The Newmont Tanami gold mine is located 540km northwest of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.

Based on the current budget for the scope of work, it is anticipated that revenue from the subcontractor agreement will be approximately $68 million. Work is expected to be completed by April 2023.

Commenting on the award, Mr Geoff Jones, Managing Director said:
