Dr Marek Dietl

Dr Marek Dietl is an assistant professor at the Warsaw School of Economics – SGH (Department of Economics). He was a visiting fellow at the University of Essex and the University of Glasgow. He earned his MA in Economics at Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and his PhD at the Institute of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences.

Marek Dietl gathered his business experience while holding managerial positions at the National Capital Fund and Simon-Kucher & Partners. He has also extensive Supervisory Board experience in both public (Atende S.A., BSC Drukarnia Opakowań S.A., Midven S.A., Techmex S.A) and more than ten private companies. He has been involved in implementation of public policy by sitting on the boards of state-bank BGK and Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

Marek Dietl frequently undertakes community and expert role. He was voluntary adviser to the Presidents of Energy Regulatory Body (2007-10). He was also a mediator at the arbitration court of the financial supervision commission (2008-13), an expert of the think-tank 'Institute Sobieskiego' and employers' association Business Centre Club. Currently, he is a voluntary economic adviser to the President of Republic of Poland.
