Appointment of Director
The GPT Group (‘GPT’ or ‘Group’) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Anne Brennan as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 May 2022.
Ms Brennan is an experienced public company director with extensive experience across a range of sectors including the property and funds management sector. She is currently a NonExecutive Director of Tabcorp and Argo Investments Limited and is being appointed to the Endeavour Group board following regulatory approval. She is also on the boards of NSW Treasury Corporation and Rabobank New Zealand Limited. Anne was formerly a NonExecutive Director of Charter Hall Group from 2010 to 2021.
As well as her extensive experience as a director, Ms Brennan has held a variety of senior management roles in both accounting firms and large organisations including as Finance Director of Coates Group and Chief Financial Officer at CSR Limited. She was previously a partner at KPMG, Andersen and Ernst & Young. Ms Brennan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of AICD.
Ms Brennan will stand for election at GPT’s 2022 Annual General Meeting ('AGM'), as set out in the Notice of Meeting released today.
Angus McNaughton has advised that he will not be seeking re-election at GPT’s 2022 AGM on 11 May 2022 to spend more time travelling and pursuing other interests. Mr McNaughton’s retirement from the Board will become effective at the conclusion of the 2022 AGM.
GPT Chairman Vickki McFadden said: “We are very pleased to welcome Anne to the Board. Anne’s extensive financial and public company experience will complement the Board’s existing skills and experience and we look forward to Anne’s contribution to the Group. I would also like to acknowledge and express our gratitude to Angus who has been a Director of GPT since 2018. Angus has made a significant contribution to the Board and the Committees on which he has served during his tenure and we wish him the very best for his future endeavours.”
