GPT appoints Ms Vickki McFadden as a Non-Executive Director

The GPT Group (GPT) today announced the appointment of Ms Vickki McFadden as a NonExecutive Director. Ms McFadden’s appointment will take effect from 1 March 2018. Ms McFadden will stand for election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Securityholders, to be held on 2 May 2018.

Ms McFadden worked for 18 years in the areas of investment banking, corporate finance and corporate law, previously as the Managing Director, Investment Banking, at Merrill Lynch (Australia) Pty Ltd.

Ms McFadden is currently Chairman of Eftpos Payments Australia Limited and also a Director of Tabcorp Holdings Limited, Newcrest Mining Limited, Myer Family Investments Pty Limited and President of the Takeovers Panel. Ms McFadden was previously Chairman of Skilled Group Limited prior to its acquisition by Programmed Maintenance Services Limited, and also previously a non-executive director of Leighton Holdings Limited.

GPT Chairman Rob Ferguson said he was pleased to welcome Ms McFadden to the Board.

The broad range of skills and experience Ms McFadden has developed during her time in investment banking, and through her current and previous board-level positions, will be a valuable addition to the skills and experience of the Board.”

In announcing the appointment of Ms McFadden, Mr Ferguson has also announced that he will retire from the GPT Board following the AGM in May. Subject to securityholder approval at the upcoming AGM, it is intended that Ms McFadden will then be appointed Chairman of GPT.

Ms McFadden is a Member of Chief Executive Women and a Member of the Advisory Board and Executive Committee of the UNSW Business School. Ms McFadden holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws and is also a member of the AICD.
