THE GPT GROUP ANNOUNCES

GPT appoints Mr Lim Swe Guan as a Non-Executive Director

23 March 2015

The GPT Group (GPT) today announced the appointment of Mr Lim Swe Guan as a Non-Executive Director. Mr Lim’s appointment will take effect from 23 March and he will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Securityholders to be held on 5 May 2015.

Mr Lim was identified for the position following an extensive search conducted on behalf of GPT’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The search and selection process was conducted in preparation for Mr Eric Goodwin’s retirement at the 2015 AGM.

Mr Lim has spent most of his executive career as a Managing Director in the Government Investment Corporation of Singapore (GIC). In that role he was Regional Head of Property Investment for Australia, Japan and South East Asia and the Global Head of the Corporate Investment Group. Mr Lim was previously a Portfolio Manager at Suncorp Investments and securities analyst for Kim Eng Securities and Alfa-Pacific Securities.

He was a non-executive Director of GPT from April 2009 to May 2012, as a nominee of GIC. He is considered an independent Non-Executive Director given he retired from GIC in February 2011.

Mr Lim currently sits on the boards of Sunway Berhad in Malaysia and Global Logistic Properties in Singapore. He is also Chairman of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association. Mr Lim’s past directorships include the Board of Land & Houses PLC in Thailand and Thakral Holdings Group in Australia. He holds an honours degree in Estate Management, a Chartered Financial Analyst certification and an MBA from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business.

GPT Chairman Rob Ferguson said he was pleased to welcome Mr Lim back to the Board.

“Mr Lim is well known to board members due to his prior involvement with GPT. He brings significant Australian real estate skills and experience as well as knowledge of capital markets in the broader Asia Pacific region, which will be a valuable addition to the skills and experience of the Board.”
