Gpi S.p.A. announces that its Board of Directors, having considered the binding offers received regarding the divestment of its subsidiary, Argentea s.r.l., decided yesterday to initiate exclusive negotiations with Zucchetti S.p.A. for the sale of its stake.
The offer received from Zucchetti demonstrates how two important Italian industrial entities, despite operating in different sectors, can find convergences that allow both of them an important opportunity for growth and development.
The two Companies are working with their consultants and collaborators to finalize the operation, ideally by the first quarter of 2024.
The financial resources resulting from the disvestment of Argentea s.r.l. will allow Gpi S.p.A. to consolidate the Group's strategy, which envisages increasing focus on the development of software for the digital transformation and sustainability of healthcare systems, in Italy and abroad, while simultaneously strengthening its equity and financial position for the benefit of shareholders.
As part of the Argentea s.r.l. divestment process, Gpi S.p.A. is assisted by Equita as financial advisor, EY-Parthenon as industrial advisor, and Studio Legale Pavia e Ansaldo as legal advisor.
