Goodman Australia Industrial Fund successfully closes $200 million equity raising

Further to Goodman Group’s (Goodman or Group) announcement of Goodman Australia Industrial Fund (GAIF) capital management initiatives on 17 November 2009, GAIF today announced the successful close of the $200 million pro rata non renounceable rights issue. The raising closed oversubscribed from GAIF’s existing investors.
The raising, which was cornerstoned to $164 million, was part of a $320 million capital management plan which included $120 million raised via the introduction of a 12 month mandatory distribution reinvestment plan. The DRP was approved at the GAIF Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2009.
Goodman CEO and Chairman of GAIF, Greg Goodman said “We have been delighted with the very strong level of support we have received from our investors. As a leading player in logistics and business space across Australia, the equity raising will further strengthen GAIFs balance sheet and position it well to benefit from the recent signs of improving conditions. This is another sign to the Group that investor support for high quality, well managed property investment products is returning”.
