EXTENSION OF LONG STOP DATE OF THE PLACING AGREEMENT

The Company and the Placing Agent have agreed to extend the Long Stop Date to 30 September 2011 (or such other date as may be agreed between the Company and the Placing Agent in writing). Accordingly, completion of the Placing Agreement is expected to take place on or before 10 October 2011, being the fifth Business Day after the extended Long Stop Date.

Reference is made to the announcements of New Times Energy Corporation Limited (the “Company”) dated 7 September 2011 (the “Placing Announcement”) and 9 September 2011 (together the “Announcements”) in respect of the placing of unlisted warrants under general mandate. Unless otherwise stated herein, terms and expressions used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcements.

As stated on page 3 of the Placing Announcement, the latest time for all the conditions of the Placing to be fulfilled is 14 September 2011 (the “Long Stop Date”).

As more time is required by the Placing Agent to confirm the list of Placees and subsequently by the Company to obtain the approval for the listing of, and permission to deal in, all of the Warrant Shares either unconditionally or subject to conditions to which the Placing Agent may accept and all other necessary waivers, consents and approvals as required under the Listing Rules from the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange, a written supplementary agreement was entered into by the Company and the Placing Agent on 14 September 2011 (after trading hours) to extend the Long Stop Date to 30 September 2011 (or such other date as may be agreed between the Company and the Placing Agent in writing). Accordingly, completion of the Placing Agreement is expected to take place on or before 10 October 2011, being the fifth Business Day after the extended Long Stop Date.
