APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATE DIRECTOR

The board of directors (the “Board”) of Pacific Challenge Holdings Limited (the “Company”) announces that Mr Hubert CHAK has been appointed as alternate director to Dr Lily CHIANG, an executive director and Chairman of the Company, with effect from 15 July, 2002 as Dr CHIANG is currently suffering from ill health.

Mr CHAK is currently the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Pacific Century CyberWorks Limited and has extensive experience in corporate finance and investment.

The Board wishes to extend a warm welcome to Mr CHAK.
