DRILLING RECOMMENCES AT THE MARBLE
BAR LITHIUM PROJECT
Key Highlights
-
Drilling has commenced at the Marble Bar Lithium Project.
-
RC drilling program of approximately 4,000m with the objective of identifying opportunities to grow the existing JORC Inferred Mineral Resource of 10.5Mt @ 1.0% Li2O[1] at the Archer Deposit and test surrounding targets.
-
Previous drilling by GL1 at Archer [1] has identified significant spodumene bearing pegmatite intercepts including:
-
16m @ 1.4% Li2O from 37m (MBRC0077)
-
14m @ 1.5% Li2O from 64m (MBRC0114)
-
19m @ 1.2% Li2O from 22m (MBRC0041)
-
15m @ 1.3% Li2O from 30m (MBRC0035)
-
The RC drilling program will take approximately one month to complete, with a further 800m of diamond core drilling being planned.
Pilbara focussed lithium explorer, Global Lithium Resources Limited ( ASX: GL1 , Global Lithium or the Company ) is pleased to announce that RC drilling has commenced at its wholly owned Marble Bar Lithium Project (MBLP) in Western Australia while the Company becomes listed on the ASX.
Commenting on the achievement, Global Lithium Managing Director, Jamie Wright said :
“ We have hit the ground running at the Marble Bar Lithium Project with exploration underway at Archer as the Company lists on the ASX.
Our strategic partner for geology, Resource Potentials, and drilling company Profile Drilling are on site and the RC program is well underway. Both groups have been part of our previous exploration programs and as such, know the ground well.
We will continue to push ahead with our aggressive exploration strategy at the MBLP and look forward to updating shareholders on our progress.”
1 Information on historical exploration results and Mineral Resources presented in this Announcement, together with JORC Table 1 information, is contained in the Independent Geologists Report within the Company’s Prospectus dated 22 March 2021, which was released as an announcement on 4 May 2021.

Figure 1. Drilling underway at the Archer Deposit.
The Company has commenced an exploration program, which includes 4,000m of RC drilling now underway ( Figures 1 ) and in parallel with the Company’s listing onto the ASX. The objectives of this program are to:
-
Undertake in-fill RC drilling to better understand the distribution of lithium mineralisation at the Archer Deposit.
-
Undertake step-out RC drilling where the Archer Deposit may extend along strike and at depth, as well drill testing target areas in the Brockman Zone that have been cleared for land access.
-
Collect diamond core for metallurgical and geotechnical test work, and twinning RC holes.
-
Complete detailed geological mapping and desktop studies over areas surrounding the Archer Deposit and Brockman Zone to improve the Company’s understanding on controls for spodumene pegmatite mineralisation and target new areas for drill testing.
-
Carry out follow up field work and obtain land access approvals for the next drilling program currently proposed for the second half 2021.
Drilling commenced on 4 May 2021, with samples being collected for bulk assay at the end of the program. At this stage, the Company anticipates reporting results towards the end of Q2 to start of Q3, subject to assay lab turnaround time.

Figure 2. Planned RC drillhole locations around the Archer deposit, with drilling now underway.
Previous RC drilling programs by the Company have discovered and grown the Archer Deposit, with previous intersections including:
-
16m @ 1.4% Li2O from 37m (MBRC0077)
-
14m @ 1.5% Li2O from 64m (MBRC0114)
-
19m @ 1.2% Li2O from 22m (MBRC0041)
-
15m @ 1.3% Li2O from 30m (MBRC0035)
The Company intends to twin one or more of these mineralised intersections with diamond core drilling, and any new significant mineralised zones encountered during the current RC drilling program, as part of its Q3 exploration and resource definition drilling program. Assay information from twinned holes will be used to assess the continuity of mineralisation and repeatability of sampling and assaying methods, and core samples will also undergo metallurgical and geotechnical test work.
Approved by the board of Global Lithium Resources Limited.
