5 CONTRACTS SIGNED FOR SALES TOTALLING €70 MILLION

GUIDANCE FOR ANNUAL REVENUE RAISED

GL EVENTS (ISIN: FR0000066672 - TICKER: GLO), THE INTEGRATED EVENT INDUSTRY GROUP, ANNOUNCES THE SIGNATURE OF 5 CONTRACTS FOR SALES TOTALLING €70 MILLION.

GL events signed 5 major contracts representing total sales in 2019 of €70 million. Based on this excellent commercial performance, the Group has raised its target for annual growth.

5 CONTRACTS SIGNED FOR SALES TOTALING €70 MILLION

GL events was awarded the contract to provide temporary structures for the 25th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP25) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held this year in Santiago de Chile from 2 to 13 December.

This edition offers the Group another opportunity to demonstrate its event engineering and logistics expertise and covers overlay services for a space totalling 60,000 sqm: plenary meeting halls, negotiation areas, a press centre, catering areas, lavatory facilities. The turnkey offering provided by GL events includes the provision of the electrical power supply, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, audiovisual equipment as well as furniture. The Group will also be responsible for letting the exhibition areas reserved for participating States and companies covering an estimated space of 15,000 sqm.

In addition, in connection with the Pan-American Games to be held in Lima (Peru) from 26 July to 11 August 2019, the Group was awarded a contract to supply and install the power equipment and electricity distribution for the event venues.

Pending the delivery of the new exhibition centre, the Strasburg Métropole has acquired a temporary exhibition facility of 17,350 sqm. The services provided by the Group subsidiaries include notably the provision of structures, flooring, heating and air-conditioning systems as well as audio-visual equipment.

Finally, the Group signed 2 contracts for the sale of grandstand seating systems:

• seating for 1,780 people for the Kumagaya stadium in Japan destined for the World Rugby Cup to be held from 20 September to 2 November 2019,
• seating for 9,000 for the owner of the motor-racing circuit of Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. A 1,000 sqm VIP area will also be installed.

These different contracts highlight the capacity of GL events teams to meet the needs of event organisers by proposing fully-customised solutions, regardless of geographical location or type of event.

Based on these developments, the Group has raised its growth target for 2019. The Group is now expecting growth in annual sales of 9% in relation to 2018 (at constant exchange rates). This positive business momentum will be accompanied, as previously announced by improved profitability.
