Schöneck, 04 November 2009 - GK SOFTWARE AG and X5 Retail Group agreed upon
cooperation to redesign the store solution of Russia's leading retailer.

Through the terms of this agreement, GK SOFTWARE AG will implement the
GK/Retail Store Solution in a pilot store in Moscow, which is scheduled for
completion by the end of the fourth quarter of 2009. Accomplishing this
project within eight weeks, including all country-specific requirements
such as fiscalization and local language support highlights the global
readiness and extraordinary performance of the GK/Retail standard solution.

The X5 Retail Group is Russia's largest retailer operating more than 1,000
company-own stores and over 600 franchise outlets in five different formats
throughout Russia. In the opinion of the GK SOFTWARE AG Management Board,
the X5 project once again demonstrates the international capabilities and
the breadth of functionality provided with the GK/Retail solution. Rainer
Gläß, CEO of GK SOFTWARE AG states: 'Successfully entering the Russian
market is an important milestone in the development of our international
growth strategy.'
