GK Software AG: GK SOFTWARE AG Continues Growth Path in Q1 2012 according to Preliminary Figures

Schöneck, 24 May 2012 – The first quarter of fiscal 2012 was once again a highly successful business operating period for GK SOFTWARE AG. Sales rose by 11 percent to a figure of EUR 7.45 million (EUR 6.72 million in Q1 2011) in comparison to the same period in the previous year (preliminary figures). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased even more strongly to a figure of EUR 1.38 million following a figure of EUR 1.17 million in the same reporting period in the previous year. In terms of sales, the EBIT margin in the first quarter reached 18.5 percent (17.4% in Q1 2011). This provided earnings per share of EUR 0.63 (EUR 0.38 in Q1 2011).
The Management Board believes that these figures provide confirmation of its general forecast. It continues to expect sales to grow during the whole of fiscal 2012 and previous profitability levels to be maintained.

The company has grown rapidly during the past few years and its sales revenues totaled EUR 31.8 million in 2011. GK SOFTWARE AG achieved EBIT of EUR 6.65 million (EBIT margin of 21.0% on sales). The two founders Rainer Gläß (CEO) und Stephan Kronmüller (deputy board member), in conjunction with an experienced management team, have made GK SOFTWARE AG a profitable company with strong growth since 1990.
