ARQUES sells Spanish parcel services provider ASM

Munich, November 09, 2009. ARQUES Industries AG has sold the parcel
services provider, Agencia Servicios Mensajeria (ASM), Madrid, for a
symbolic price to a Spanish investor group from the industry within the
context of the consolidation of its investment portfolio and the
termination of its commitment in Spain. The buyers are to continue the
restructuring and development of ASM's business operations.

The parcel services industry in Spain is in a consolidation phase and is
influenced by the significant economic downward trend as well as the
strongly declining freight volumes. The expansion of the ASM distribution
network last year was not able to compensate the overall declining business
development. In addition, the further financing of the company proved to be
problematic due to the very restrictive behaviour of the banks and
creditors.

The sale results in a loss from deconsolidation to the value of
approximately 0.6 million EUR for ARQUES. ARQUES acquired ASM in April 2008
for 1 EUR, and in October 2008 expanded its distribution network by
integrating the distribution network of a former competitor which was also
purchased for a symbolic price.
