Gigaset AG: Dr. Alexander Blum appointed CFO to Gigaset AG Executive Board

Munich, March 30, 2010 – The Gigaset AG Supervisory Board in its meeting today appointed Dr. Alexander Blum CFO to the company's Executive Board. Dr. Blum will be responsible for finance, legal, human resources and for the timely, regular and transparent communication with the Gigaset AG shareholders (IR).
Dr. Blum studied and earned his doctorate at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and worked as a consultant at a large international consulting firm for several years before starting at Gigaset AG in 2008. From the outset he was in charge of the restructuring of Gigaset Communications GmbH before being appointed CFO in the extended management of Gigaset Communications GmbH in February 2010.
Dr. Blum has extensive knowledge of the Gigaset structures and processes. During the last two and a half years he contributed significantly to aligning the telephone manufacturer to a profitable, medium-sized business and expanded its global finance and controlling structures. During Dr. Blum's time as CFO, the overall results for the year increased significantly and above the set targets.
