ARQUES Industries AG: Composition of the Supervisory Board after Annual
General Meeting undecided

Starnberg, August 5, 2009. Most of the items on the agenda proposed by the
administration were accepted by the shareholders represented (representing
around 7% of the capital stock) at the Ordinary General Meeting of ARQUES
Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004) held in Starnberg, Germany, on August 5,
2009.

The represented shareholders accepted the agenda items relating to the
discharge of the Executive Board and Supervisory Board, the appropriation
of net income, the election of the independent auditors and the creation of
authorized and contingent capital.

Under the item on the agenda regarding the election of the Supervisory
Board, only one of the candidates (Dr. Rudolf Falter) proposed by the
administration and none of the candidates proposed by the shareholders
received the two-thirds majority prescribed by the Articles of
Incorporation. The Ordinary General Meeting closed without a new
Supervisory Board being elected. The Executive Board will be responsible
for running the operating activities and continuing the strategic further
development of ARQUES Industries AG. Under the German Stock Corporation
Act, a new Supervisory Board will be determined as soon as possible by the
relevant court or a further Ordinary General Meeting.
