Stuttgart, 26 November 2009 - GFT Technologies AG (GFT) has again this year
been ranked among the 50 best IT service providers for the financial
services sector worldwide. In the current FinTech 100 ranking, the
international IT company was placed 44th, and was thus in the top 50 of the
world's leading IT service providers in the financial sector for the second
year running. 'We are delighted about the ranking and see it as
confirmation of our business strategy. It proves that we have been able to
develop our positioning as a strategic IT partner for the financial
industry, even in economically difficult times,' commented GFT Executive
Board member Marika Lulay.

The international ranking is selected annually by market research institute
IDC Financial Insights and American finance magazines American Banker and
Bank Technology News, and honours the world's foremost IT service providers
for the financial sector. Businesses are only considered if one third of
their revenue is generated by clients in the financial services industry.
The top 100 ranking was calculated based on total sales at the end of the
business year and the proportion of this accounted for by financial service
providers. This was taken as an indication of the status of companies and
their importance for the sector. Other criteria included sector specific
offers from the IT service providers to their clients, such as core banking
applications, online banking and branch systems.

For the second time in succession, GFT was named one of the 50 best IT
service providers for the financial sector, confirming its leading position
in financial services technology. 'Our focus on an optimum combination of
sector-specific expertise and technological knowledge has really paid off.
We know the market environment of our clients and are able to offer them
innovative IT solutions that are tailored to their needs and strengthen
their competitiveness. This makes us one of the preferred IT partners in
the financial services sector,' explains GFT Executive Board member Marika
Lulay. 'GFT supports financial institutes with outsourcing services that
help them cut costs in economically challenging times. In addition, our
innovative solutions and technologies help to ensure that our clients can
react quickly to demand in a stabilizing market environment and capitalize
on growth potential.'

The FinTech 100 ranking was published in American Banker. The data was
collected by surveying suppliers as well as through studies and market
analyses carried out by the market research company IDC Financial Insights.
