Gerresheimer AG: Gerresheimer adjusts guidance for the financial year 2009

Gerresheimer AG has revised the expectations for the development of the
Group in the current financial year 2009.

For Gerresheimer's business in pharmaceutical packaging and systems, growth
continues to be expected, but slightly weaker as a result of inventory
reductions by some customers. Compared with previous expectations, the
cyclical markets of cosmetics and laboratory glassware show a
longer-lasting fall in demand.

The guidance in February 2009 has therefore been revised.

For the financial year 2009 the expected sales growth is now +1% to -3%
(previously +6% to +7%) or at constant exchange rates 0% to -4% (previously
+3% to +4%). The adjusted EBITDA margin is now expected to be between 18.0%
and 18.5% (previously 19.0% to 19.2%). The capital expenditure volume will
decrease from the previously announced level of 100 - 105m Euro to 85 -
90m Euro.

The guidance in February 2009 and the new guidance relate to the business
of the Gerresheimer Group excluding the Technical Plastics business, which
has now been sold. In addition, the tool business - which has also been
sold - is excluded from the new guidance, and exchange rate developments
are taken into account. The growth rates are based on comparable sales of
986m Euro in the financial year 2008.
