Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP – a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Munich – 23 October 2006 – Germany’s oldest listed travel portal has successfully asserted input tax claims arising from 2000 with the relevant German tax authorities. The tax assessment that has now been issued produces extraordinary earnings in Q4 2006 with a liquidity inflow totaling EUR 970 thousand. This corresponds to a cash increase per share of around EUR 0.55. These accruing funds will considerably strengthen the financial stability and liquidity of Travel24.com AG and will significantly improve the balance sheet situation. On this basis, and thanks to the recent completion of its restructuring, the Company is now in a position to fully concentrate on its operating activities. The Management Board expects to achieve significant earnings in financial year 2007, following its initial operating profits in Q3 2006, through the expansion of its sales and business activities. Furthermore, the Company is currently examining possibilities for amalgamating with other companies in the industry, in order to achieve a substantial strengthening of its market position.
