ML construction timeline extension approved

The Board of Geopacific Resources Limited (Geopacific) is pleased to announce it has received an extension to the construction timeline in the Mining Licence (ML) for the 1.6moz[1] Woodlark Gold Project.

The amendment granted by the Minster for Mining, The Hon Johnson Tuke MP, was required to extend the timeframe for completion of construction and commissioning of the processing facility which was previously required by January 2020.

The completion of the build is now required to be achieved before the 5 July 2022, providing Geopacific with ample time to finance and construct the project.

The extension is the final outstanding approval required from Mineral Resources Authority (MRA) to commence construction of the Woodlark Gold Project. Apart from normal course of business interaction with MRA, no further permits or approvals are required from the MRA to commence construction of the project.

Geopacific would like to thank the Minister and the Government of PNG for their support which provides a stable platform for the Woodlark Project to progress in a timely manner.
