Woodlark project finance advisor appointed
Geopacific Resources Limited (Geopacific) is pleased to advise that it has appointed Ironstone Capital as financial advisors to assist the Company in arranging project finance for the Woodlark gold project (Woodlark) in Papua New Guinea.
Ironstone Capital is an independent corporate advisory firm specialising in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Managing director Ron Heeks commented
“The Woodlark Pre-Feasibility Study outlined a robust project with a short post-tax payback period of just over two years. The Definitive Feasibility Study is tracking well and on target for the third quarter release. The regional exploration is funded, underway and we look forward to sharing those results with the market as they become available.
“Mining, environmental and social permits are all in place to develop Woodlark. This aspect truly sets us apart from our peers, significantly reducing risks and the time to development.
“Appointing financial advisors is an important step in maintaining our strong momentum to take Woodlark towards production and further signifies our growing confidence in successfully developing the project.”
