– Geopacific Resources NL (ASX:GPR) Request for Suspension from Trading

Geopacific Resources NL (“Geopacific”) requests a suspension in the trading of its securities prior to commencement of trading on 19 November 2009 pending completion of a capital raising and an announcement of a rights issue to Shareholders.

In accordance with Listing Rule 17.2, the Company provides the following information:

1. Geopacific requests that the suspension continues until an announcement to the market is released and this is expected to be no later than prior to commencement of trading on Thursday 26 November 2009 (5 days after this request). Geopacific is undertaking both a capital raising and a 1 for 1 rights issue to shareholders. The completion of arrangements for these are expected to take another several days to complete.

2. Geopacific is not aware of any reason why the suspension should not be granted.

3. Geopacific is not aware of any other information necessary to inform the market about the suspension.
