Genus plc (LSE: GNS) announces that on 7 April 2020, conditional nil-cost share options were granted under the Genus 2019 Performance Share Plan over ordinary shares in Genus to the Executive Director as listed in table A below as per the Executive Director's joining terms. 

Details of the performance conditions that apply to the nil-cost share options can be found in the Directors' Remuneration Report of the Genus 2019 Annual Report. A share price of 3,120p has been used to calculate the award based on a three-day share price average at the date of the Executive Director's joining in early January, and as per the Executive Director's joining terms.

The below notifications, made in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation, give further detail of the nil-cost share option awards made on 7 April 2020.
