Director/PDMR Shareholding

Genus announces that conditional nil-cost share options were granted under the Genus 2004 Performance Share Plan (the 'PSP') today to:

·    Stephen Wilson, Group Finance Director designate, as to 43,063 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company ('Shares'); and

·    Saskia Korink, Chief Marketing Officer, as to 18,763 Shares.

Under the PSP, the Share options that have been granted to the PSP participants above are subject to challenging performance conditions that relate to the growth in the Company's adjusted earnings per share over a three year performance period and which trigger vesting on an incremental basis. More demanding performance targets apply to the portion of the Share options granted that exceed 100% of salary. Details of the performance conditions that apply to the Share options can be found in the Directors' Remuneration Report of the Company's 2012 Annual Report & Financial Statements.

Stephen Wilson has no direct shareholding in the Company and is the beneficial owner of 43,063 nil-cost Share options.

Saskia Korink has no direct shareholding in the Company and is the beneficial owner of 18,763 nil-cost Share options.
