17 March 2014 Genus plc ("Genus" or the "Company") Director/PDMR Shareholdings Genus announces that conditional nil-cost share options were granted on 14 March 2014 under the Genus 2004 Performance Share Plan (the "PSP") to Jonathan Lightner, Chief Scientific Officer, as to 26,383 Shares. Under the PSP, the Share options that have been granted are subject to challenging performance conditions that relate to the growth in the Company's adjusted earnings per share over a three year performance period and which trigger vesting on an incremental basis. More demanding performance targets apply to the portion of the Share options granted that exceed 100% of salary for PSP participant listed above. Details of the performance conditions that apply to the Share options can be found in the Directors' Remuneration Report of the Company's Annual Report & Accounts.
