Executive Leadership Appointments
African iron ore explorer and developer, Genmin Limited ( Genmin or the Company ) (ASX: GEN), is pleased to announce it has appointed Mrs Lucy Rowe as Company Secretary, effective immediately, and Mr Marcus Reston as General Manager – Technical Services. These appointments to the executive leadership team are designed to support Genmin’s African iron ore strategy.
Marcus Reston is a senior mining executive and economic geologist with over 30 years’ international experience, including 10 years exploring and developing bulk commodity projects in West Africa. Commencing on 1 July 2021, Marcus will be responsible for planning and overseeing Genmin’s exploration programs and technical studies at the Company’s iron ore projects in the Republic of Gabon, central West Africa.
Prior to joining Genmin, Marcus operated an independent mining consultancy for the past five years, specialising in technical studies, due diligence and operational reviews. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer of Pan African Minerals Limited, a private company, which held large scale iron ore and manganese development assets in Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. Prior to that appointment, Marcus was General Manager - Geology and Exploration for the Tonkolili iron ore project in Sierra Leone, where he was a key contributor to the raising of more than US$3 billion in institutional and Chinese funding, to develop the asset.
Lucy Rowe is an experienced compliance professional with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services, oil and gas, and resources industries. Lucy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies majoring in Financial Services Law from the University of New South Wales. Over the past 12 years she has held and continues to hold, the position of Company Secretary for several listed and unlisted public companies.
The Board would like to thank outgoing Company Secretary, Mr Patrick McCole, for his contribution during Genmin’s initial public offering and annual reporting period, and wish him well in his next role.
Commenting on the executive leadership changes, Genmin’s Managing Director, Mr Joe Ariti said: “I am very pleased to welcome both Lucy and Marcus to the team. Both professionals bring broad resources industry experience, further enhancing our management team’s skill sets as we advance our scalable Baniaka Project and position the Company, to potentially become Gabon’s first iron miner.”

About Genmin
Genmin Limited (ASX: GEN), is an ASX-listed African iron ore exploration and development company with a pipeline of projects in the Republic of Gabon, central West Africa. The Company has a 100% interest in three (3) projects comprising six (6) exploration licences covering approximately 5,270km[2] .
Genmin’s Baniaka and Bakoumba projects are located in south-east Gabon near the provincial city of Franceville, where the Company has an extensive footprint and controls all acreage prospective for iron ore. The Baniaka and Bakoumba projects represent a potential iron ore hub with 2,450km[2] of landholding and 121km of iron mineralised strike with only 12% drill tested with diamond drilling.
Genmin’s flagship project, Baniaka, is at feasibility stage with defined JORC compliant Mineral Resources and is favourably situated adjacent to existing and operating bulk commodity transport and renewable energy infrastructure.
Gabon is a stable central West African country with a mining and oil production history dating back to the early 1960s. It is currently the second largest producer of manganese ore in the world and eighth largest crude oil producer in Africa.
