AUSTOCK GROUP LIMITED (ASX:ACK)

APPOINTMENT OF NEW CFO AND COMPANY SECRETARY

Austock is pleased to announce that Craig Thompson has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer replacing Matthew Walsh following his resignation effective 9 April 2009.

Mr Walsh was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary and leaves Austock after more than three years to move on to another opportunity.

Tim Boyle, Managing Director of Austock Group said, “Mr Walsh has built a solid team underneath him and made an enormous contribution in lifting the standard of financial accounting and management reporting within the Group to an exceptional level.”

Mr Thompson has over 28 years commercial experience gained through 17 years at Price Waterhouse. This long tenure included four years in the Audit section in Melbourne, three years in New York and 10 years in the Corporate Finance division where he specialised in transactional-related activities.

Since 1997 Craig has held Chief Financial Officer positions at PMP Limited, Benchmark Healthcare Pty Ltd and Primelife Corporation Limited. These roles have presented many and varied commercial issues requiring resolution and experience across several industries.

Craig joined Austock in January 2007 in the Private Equity division and moved to the Property division in August 2008. Craig will continue to have responsibility for the banking relationships in Property and will continue to work closely with Nick Anagnostou as the Property Division stabilises in the post ABC era.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

Austock Board would like to express it’s thanks to Matthew for all his hard work over the last three years and congratulate Craig Thompson on his new challenge.

Elizabeth Lee has been appointed as Company Secretary effective from 9 April 2009 replacing Mr Walsh.

In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 12.6, Ms Lee is responsible for communications with the ASX.
