Karlsruhe, 22 November 2000 – GROUP Technologies AG, leading manufacturer of eSecurity products for the messaging systems Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange, successfully closely Q3 2000. Corporate sales for the first 9 months amounts to DM 8.1 million (EUR 4.1 million) and EBITDA to DM 0.6 million (EUR 0.3 million). Estimates for the year 2000 were already topped in the first nine months with an EBIT of DM 0.4 million (up 112%), an EBT of DM 0,4 million (up 28%) and EPS with DM 0.03 (up 29%). GROUP Technologies AG is listed on the Neuer Markt segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 21 November 2000. GROUP Technologies AG’s disproportionate earnings growth can be attributed to the increase in sales from the licensing business which saw a 105% increase compared to the corresponding period of last year (1 January to 30 September 1999). Licensing business contributed 48%, service 32% and trade 20% to sales. Licensing business by regions is distributed as follows: Germany, Austria and Switzerland (51%), other European countries (42%), North America (5%) and the rest of the world (2%). Based on the quarterly settlement for the first nine months, GROUP Technologies AG will be able to report an excellent result for the 2000 financial year. New customers in Q3 2000 In the third quarter, GROUP Technologies AG was able to attract renowned customers for its product lines securiQ and organiziQ. Amongst others, this included Deutsche BA Luftfahrtgesellschaft, Munich; Securitas Bevakning, Stockholm; Department of the Interior, Washington DC; Banco Daimler Chrysler, Sao Luiz; EDEKA, Hamburg.
