GROUP Technologies AG Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– * Over 40% sales growth against last year * Positive EBIT in fiscal year 2001 despite one-off expenditure * Board member Joachim Bleckmann (Sales) leaves company For GROUP Technologies AG, Karlsruhe, Germany, 2001 represents yet another fiscal year in which the company continued to grow in leaps and bounds. Despite a slow economy during the fourth quarter of last year, the company still reached an annual turnover of around EUR 9 million (IAS). As a consequence, the company not only met its envisaged target figure but also improved by over 40% against the same period last year (2000: EUR 6.2 million acc. to IAS accounting standards). The loss of a major order planned in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2001 coupled with a one-off expenditure of EUR 0.7 million were the main causes of EBIT remaining almost unchanged against last year at EUR 0.2 million (IAS). However, a positive cash flow for fiscal year 2001 managed to essentially uphold the issue proceeds that resulted from the company’s flotation. In a mutually reached decision, Board member Joachim Bleckmann (Sales) has agreed to leave the company with immediate effect. Until further notice, his duties will be in the capable hands of Jürgen Wege, the company’s CEO. The company has now also introduced a series of measures that will get the company back to its usual strength from the middle of 2002 onwards: – Greater sales focus on key accounts and business partners – Complete facelift for business activities in the USA under new operative management – Harder marketing-driven approach based on the uniqueness of its individual product lines By doing this, the company is gearing itself to a more efficient utilization of its present market potential and to boosting up its EBIT again in the weeks and months to come. At a press conference to be held in Stuttgart (Germany) on March 26, 2002, GROUP Technologies AG will be presenting its audited annual report 2001 and announcing details of its financial statements. end of ad-hoc-announcement (c)DGAP 14.02.2002 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 555 611; ISIN: DE0005556112; Index: Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Stuttgart, München, Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Hannover, Düsseldorf 142327 Feb 02
